Listen before designing

About Teravance Intelligence
I'm David Baudais, the founder of Teravance Intelligence. I help businesses turn real operational needs into clear, dependable technology.
My background crosses systems analysis, programming, project leadership, reporting, and technical support. That range matters: useful technology is not only well built—it fits the people, decisions, and responsibilities around it.
Built from both sides of the conversation
My work has always involved translating between people who know the business and people who build the technology. I ask questions, document requirements, study the risks, and turn the answers into a system people can understand and use.
Start with the work, the customer, and the result—not a favourite tool or a fashionable feature.
Explain choices in plain language and put scope, responsibilities, cost, and timing in writing.
Treat security, permissions, evidence, and human approval as part of the design from the beginning.
A useful system must remain maintainable, observable, and aligned with the business as real work continues.
Experience that connects
My career includes 30+ years in programming and application development, with roles as a systems analyst, programmer, project leader, report programmer, help-desk analyst, and technical-support specialist.
Earlier work included systems analysis and project leadership, reporting and analysis in health-outcomes research, engineering systems, and front-line technical support. Those environments reinforced the same lesson: details matter, but the whole system has to serve a clear purpose.
I work best by listening closely, organizing complex information, and making the next decision visible. That combination of technical curiosity, business thinking, and clear communication still shapes every Teravance project.
A practical foundation
Let’s make the work clearer
The first conversation is free. If the project is a fit, you’ll receive a written proposal explaining what will be delivered, what it will cost, and the expected timeline.
